GROUP FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT - ACCA

UP TO £65,000 + BENEFITS + BONUS

THE COMPANY:
We're proud to be partnering with a highly successful group of companies that is looking to recruit a Group Financial Accountant to their team. As Group Financial Accountant, you'll be reporting into the CFO and have direct leadership of team two team members (Management Accountant & Assistant Accountant). This role will be a mix of leadership and hands-on financial accounting responsibilities across the team. You'll need to have experience of Financial Accounting, Group Accounting, Tax, Year End, External Audit and have strong communication skills to work with the various stakeholder.

THE GROUP FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT ROLE:
- As the Group Financial Accountant, you'll be directly responsible for the leadership of the Management Accountant and Assistant Accountant.
- Responsible for producing the financial accounts for multiple legal entities and the group consolidated accounts
- Preparing Group Year End and Interim financial statements, in line with accountancy standards and internal policy
- Working closely with the Internal Auditor and resolving accounting queries
- Overseeing and signing off on the Monthly Management Accounts prior to being presented to the CFO / Board
- Review of balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy
- Responsible for individual entity and group consolidated annual budgets and forecasts
- Assisting with Payroll across the group of companies
- Responsible for VAT, Corporation Tax, Other Taxes and Statutory Submissions
- Preparing presentations for Group board meetings
- Working closely with key stakeholders in the various finance teams across the group
- Reviewing processes and systems to create efficiencies throughout the department
THE PERSON:
- Must be ACA or ACCA Qualified, with experience in an Accountancy practice, this role would like suit an individual looking for their first or second time move from Practice. (Likely held roles such as; Chartered Accountant, Client Accountant, Practice Accountant or Similar)
- Must have experience of leading a small team
- Experience of Group Accounting and Group Consolidated Accounting is essential.
- Strong understanding of Tax, such as Corporation Tax.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with various Director and C-Level stakeholders
- Intermediate level or above with MS Excel, PowerPoint is essential, and any experience of PowerBI would be an advantage.
