About Us:LHH are recruiting for an Interim Financial Accountant on behalf of one of our market leading, global clients, based Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled ACA/ACCA qualified professional to support the business during a period of growth and change. Please note:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Manage the preparation of tax returns and support with VAT and other regulatory filings.
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, month-end closings, and variance analysis.
  • Provide insight into financial performance, helping business leaders make informed decisions.
  • Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes and systems.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required during the contract period.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in financial accounting, ideally within a corporate or professional services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial accounting software (experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar is a plus).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
