My client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Inventory Accountant to join their finance team. This role is critical to maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting financial operations. Responsibilities:

  • Monitor inventory transactions, update general ledger, analyse data, perform inventory audits, and produce regular reports.
  • Develop and enhance inventory process controls and documentation.
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies and prepare adjusting entries.
  • Assist with quality control operations and participate in inventory counts.
  • Provide accounting support to multiple company locations.
  • Participate in month-end closes and support the accounting team.
  • Utilise accounting software to process and obtain data.
  • Submit routine inventory control reports and support ad-hoc reporting requests.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Finance to implement a strong inventory control environment.
  • Apply critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to anticipate and address issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory accounting or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
