Management / Commercial Accountant.
My client, a specialist Restructuring practice is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Management Accountant to oversee to support a central finance function in a transformational environment. The successful candidate will play an important role in establishing and developing management reporting, financial control and reporting.
What you'll do:
- Develop, implement and improve managing reporting, balance sheet control and financial forecasting.
- Assist in the preparation of timely weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting, with appropriate financial analysis.
- Assist the Financial Controller in establishing month end routines, including the costing of central costs, consolidation of business unit results and ensure strong controls exist over the general ledger and key control accounts.
- Enhance reporting and KPIs to provide valuable insight to internal and external stakeholders and senior management.
- Consolidate quarterly forecasting and oversee central overhead budgets
- Comfortable in dealing with large data sets.
- Partner with wider finance and commercial teams in rationalising and streamlining various data sets.
What you bring:
- Recognised accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA).
- Experience in working a small team in a transitional environment, whilst also engaging and supporting a wider business.
- Experience in a restructuring firm would be ideal.
- Comfortable in managing large data sets and providing commercial insight to support decision making.
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and competing priorities.
- Ability to simplify and streamline processes.
