Service Charge Accountant, Hybrid, Milton Keynes, £35,000 to £45,000My Client an award winning service charge team is one of the UK's largest residential service charge accounting firms. The role of the Service Charge Accountant will have varied disciplines for a variety of clients including preparing high quality service charge accounts in accordance with best practice.Responsibilities

  • Varied disciplines for a variety of clients including preparing high quality service charge accounts in accordance with best practice
  • Managing finances of portfolio, including driving monthly billing targets, monitoring and improving recoveries, debt recovery and forecasting
  • Undertaking the planning and execution of ISA800 audit assignments and Factual Findings Reports
  • Coaching and assisting the more junior team members in order to meet the client's needs
  • Escalating development issues and progression requirements to senior management team
  • Involvement with practice and workflow management for the wider team
  • Aiding in the overall delivery of exceptional client service to their wide variety of market

leading clients.

  • Reading and interpreting leases as an additional dimension to the standard accounts preparation
  • Collate, review and suggest improvement ideas and changes to methodology and processes to improve client service and efficiencies.

Requirements

  • AAT qualified or part ACCA/ ACA qualified
  • A solid background and exposure to property accounting and/or double entry book keeping
  • Ideally have experience of working within an accountancy practice
  • Have ability and confidence to deal with complex sets of accounts, with a high level of
  • Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills - written and verbal
  • Be able to confidently work alone but also be a team player
  • Organised and methodical approach to handling workload of both self and others
  • Be proficient in main line MS Office products, with in depth experience and knowledge
  • of Excel
  • Knowledge of service charge accounting would be an advantage

Other DetailsSalary: £35,000 to £45,000Required working hours: Monday - Friday (2 days WFH), 9am to 5pm however operating hours are 7am to 7pm therefore there is flexibilityBenefits:
