Description
Assistant Accountant
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, including variance analysis.
- Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Provide timely and accurate financial data to support decision-making.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records.
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany accounts.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies in financial records.
- Support the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes as needed, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor and reconcile supplier and customer accounts.
- Assist in managing credit control and resolving invoicing issues.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to track and analyse manufacturing costs.
- Support inventory valuation, stock reconciliations, and cost variance analysis.
- Assist in ensuring accurate recording of production data in financial systems
Profile
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
- Studying toward ACCA or CIMA
- Good knowledge of financial systems and MS Office (Ideally SAP)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in a similar role within the manufacturing sector
