Accounts Assistant – Immediate Start

35 hours per week

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Accounts Assistant to join our small, friendly, and bubbly team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an organisation offering pleasant working conditions, a supportive team environment, and a chance to further develop your skills in accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling both purchase and sales ledger – experience in this area is essential.
  • Daily banking and management of large amounts of cash, which may be heavy.
  • Organising and managing daily routines with regard to timescales and deadlines.
  • Resolving queries, including sensitive issues, in a professional and timely manner.
  • Analysing straightforward data reports and accounts with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assisting with external fundraising events as required.

Requirements:

  • Sound knowledge and previous experience of purchase and sales ledger.
  • A good understanding of accounting procedures is essential.
  • Strong experience using Microsoft packages, including Excel and Word.
  • Excellent numeracy skills and a high level of concentration to ensure accuracy.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive queries effectively.
  • Regular keyboard user.
