As a leader in the industry, this company is committed to driving operational value and supporting compliance with global policies.Your new roleAs the National Head of Procurement, you will lead the National Indirect Procurement organisation, overseeing spend categories including Real Estate and Operational Facilities Management (FM). Acting as a strategic advisor and stakeholder manager, you will consult and collaborate with internal teams to align procurement activities with operational needs while leveraging global strategies and supplier agreements. Your role will focus on driving operational excellence, delivering strategic value, and ensuring compliance with global standards.Key responsibilities include:Acting as the primary procurement liaison for the UK, consulting with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements.Overseeing the effective implementation and localisation of global category strategies.Aligning and delivering procurement strategies and activities with BU/FU stakeholders to meet organisational objectives.Establishing, maintaining, and governing local procurement policies.Driving excellence across the Source-to-Pay process.Monitoring market trends and adjusting procurement plans to leverage emerging opportunities.Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing procurement team.Building and maintaining strong relationships with the executive leadership team, key stakeholders, and strategic suppliers.Driving organisational change and procurement transformation initiatives.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will need:Background of operating at Head of Procurement level covering indirect categories, managing a team of 6+Proven experience in contract management and supplier experience.Ability to add value, reduce costs, and make business improvements.Experience operating and influencing at a strategic level within a global matrix organisation.Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.Proven experience leading cross-functional procurement teams.Ability to develop talent pipelines and succession plans.Critical thinking and logical decision-making based on robust informationWhat you'll get in returnIn return for your expertise and dedication, you will receive:A competitive salary of up to £105,000.A comprehensive benefits package includes a £6000 car allowance and a 20% bonus.Opportunities for professional development and career progression.The chance to work in a hybrid role 3 days a week on-site in Milton Keynes.If you are a strategic thinker with a passion for procurement and a proven track record of driving operational excellence, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.
