About the Role:Our client, a leading provider of network infrastructure solutions, is looking for a Junior Data Cabling Engineer to join their growing team near Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in structured cabling and networking, looking to develop their skills within a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the installation, termination, and testing of structured cabling systems, including Cat5e, Cat6, and fibre optic cables.
  • Supporting the team in carrying out cable management and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Following technical drawings and project plans to ensure correct installation.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and stock as required for projects.
  • Providing excellent customer service while working on client sites.
  • Learning and developing technical knowledge through training and mentorship.

Requirements:

  • Some experience or knowledge of data cabling, network infrastructure, or IT support (preferred but not essential).
  • Willingness to learn and develop a career in structured cabling.
  • Basic understanding of Cat5e, Cat6, and fibre optic cabling.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
  • CSCS/ECS card (preferred)
  • A full UK driving licence.
