Senior Architect in Milton Keynes?

I am working with a well-established firm who are looking for a Senior Architect to join our team in the Milton Keynes area. The firm specializes in designing innovative, functional, and visually striking spaces for various sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional with a passion for high-quality design and extensive technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from inception to completion, delivering designs that meet client briefs and timelines.
  • Prepare and oversee detailed technical drawings and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit and the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Coordinate and manage design teams, ensuring seamless communication across all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Demonstrate expertise in construction detailing and techniques, producing accurate and compliant construction documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, including the Building Safety Act 2022.
  • Act as or liaise with the Principal Designer, ensuring the delivery of CDM (Construction Design and Management) responsibilities.
  • Navigate and manage the Planning process, including preparation of planning applications and negotiation with planning authorities.
  • Oversee and manage various contract types, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of contractual responsibilities and Contract Administration.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 7+ years of professional experience in architectural design, with a focus on hospitality and retail projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
  • Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, including the Building Safety Act 2022 and CDM roles and responsibilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction detailing, techniques, and best practices.
  • Experience with the Planning process, including managing planning applications.
  • Familiarity with contract types and the ability to manage Contract Administration.
  • Strong project management and client liaison skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
