Position Title: Dispensary Manager
Reports To: Operations Manager or Owner

Job Overview:

The Dispensary Manager oversees all daily operations within the dispensary, ensuring compliance with local and state laws, managing inventory, supervising staff, and providing exceptional customer service. The Dispensary Manager ensures a smooth and effective working environment while maintaining a safe, welcoming atmosphere for customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Management:

  • Oversee and ensure efficient daily operations of the dispensary.

  • Monitor inventory levels, reorder products as needed, and ensure all stock is properly stored and organized.

  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding the sale of cannabis products.

  • Supervise daily opening and closing procedures for the dispensary, ensuring security protocols are followed.

• Staff Supervision and Training:

  • Hire, train, and manage dispensary staff, ensuring proper knowledge of products, regulations, and customer service skills.

  • Schedule staff shifts and ensure adequate coverage to meet customer demand.

  • Provide continuous training and professional development opportunities for team members.

• Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure all dispensary activities comply with state and local cannabis laws and industry regulations.

  • Maintain accurate records for inventory, sales, and customer interactions, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant.

  • Work closely with regulators, auditors, and law enforcement when required to ensure compliance and uphold the reputation of the dispensary.

• Security and Safety:

  • Ensure that all security protocols are followed to protect the dispensary, staff, and customers.

  • Oversee surveillance systems, ensuring proper use and data retention in line with legal requirements.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within the dispensary.

• Experience:

  • Previous experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role, preferably in the cannabis industry.

  • Knowledge of cannabis products, industry trends, and legal regulations is highly preferred.

• Skills:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask and manage various responsibilities effectively.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and dispensary management software.

• Certifications: Valid state-issued cannabis dispensary manager certification (if required by local regulations).
