Job Purpose Summary

Working with the Trim Developer and Design Engineering team to provide patterns and Gerber generated lays to the Cushion Fireblocker/Dress Cover Cell. To identify, analyze, create and implement effective pattern design.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Create Gerberised pattern drawings (Digitise/AccuMark).
  • Working to the production schedule, generate fullsize Gerber plots for fabric cutting combining different parts/orders (Accunest).
  • Evaluate, develop and test potential solutions for in-process pattern laying and cutting problems.
  • Develop new and update existing assembly processes on the production floor and monitor fabric cutters to ensure the correct material yields are obtained.
  • Make suggestions and incorporate changes to improve the workflow on the fabric laying-up table.
  • Cost savings, including material yield improvements.
  • Evaluate manufacturability of pattern designs to ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices, quality standards and customer needs
  • Prepare and revise drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM) used for pattern cutting.

Job Requirements

  • Education Required - Gerber AccuMark software trained.
  • Experience -Minimum of 3 years Design/Gerber experience.

Hours:

  • Mon to Thurs: 7am to 4pm
  • Fri 7am to 1pm
