Day-to-day of the role:- Proactively seek and take customer orders using telephone and email, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Utilise our advanced computer system for order processing and other sales-related activities.
- Handle incoming calls, directing non-sales related inquiries to appropriate departments.
- Play a key role in monitoring and developing existing customer accounts and opening new ones.
- Communicate effectively with customers about products, pricing, special offers, and technical advice.
- Collect and relay market information including competitor products, market trends, and pricing to the sales team.
- Address customer and end-user queries, including returns, warranty claims, and provide technical advice when necessary.
- Assist in the creation and presentation of sales, marketing, and technical materials.
- Participate in shows, exhibitions, and events, contributing to their preparation and execution.
- Occasionally visit both existing and potential customers to strengthen relationships and gather insights.
- Proven experience in sales, particularly in a role that involves telephone-based customer interaction.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage customer relationships.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in using computer systems for sales processing and data management.
- A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to gathering market intelligence.
