New Business and Market Development Manager. This is a newly created permanent career opportunity for an experienced and accomplished Senior Sales Manager who can evidence a minimum of 5 years prior experience gained within the data centre and/or the cabling telecommunications sector, whilst managing and leading a successful sales team. With a UK head office based in the Southeast, this role is mainly remote with an expectation to visit the office on a weekly basis. Offering an impressive annual salary of up to £100k with an attractive list of employee benefits and an end-of-year performance-related bonus.

Ideally, you will demonstrate previous relationships with network contacts in the London data centre market, knowing which stakeholders to contact, mapping the ecosystem and creating all key contacts across wider businesses. Key responsibilities will include the investigation and identification of strategic accounts whilst developing ambitious sales plans to expand market presence and drive revenue in the UK target regions. Your business development skills will demonstrate a sound understanding of Ecosystem Mapping, with your ability to obtain, combine and build relationships with key stakeholders, internal/external business partners and decision-makers. Developing a strategic sales pipeline, tracking potential and ongoing projects from initiation to award are key elements in this position, utilising your skills as a key influencer and communicator and closer of business opportunities and being recognised as the regional market expert, providing detailed sales reports to the EMEA Sales Director.

As the New Business and Market Development Manager, you will be responsible for the continued growth planning and increase in financial revenues, owning all financial reporting & analysis accountabilities for the regional revenue, and communicating clear revenue targets for each account whilst ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. You will have prior knowledge of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Product Portfolio Alignment, ensuring that all parties are made aware of the size, scope and financial wins involved for each customer, providing accurate pricing, product delivery and customer expectation.  Naturally you will be responsible for the development and collaboration of the sales team, expecting high performance and a growth-orientated environment. You will mentor, coach and encourage team members to enhance and grow their sales pipeline, with a focus on continuous learning and personal development.

Key skills for the position will include having decision-making confidence, with proficiency in using data and analytics to make informed decisions, whilst solving complex problems in a global sales operation. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively to different stakeholders, including customers, team members, and executives. This will include preparing and presenting to large and small audiences, using a range of software (MS Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint capturing and developing sales communication through Salesforce. You will need to be flexible with a willingness to travel within the UK to foster relationship development across the region. A Full UK Driving License is required for the position.
