Parts Planning Manager
Salary: Up to £70,000 with excellent benefits, company car, fuel card, annual bonus, etc.Location: Hybrid - (2 days per week working from home) 3 days in Head Office, based in Milton Keynes.

The Opportunity:We have a unique opportunity to join this superb business as a Parts Planning Manager at their head office in Milton Keynes. You will analyse data from multiple sources and provide your expertise to enhance the way they plan and drive their aftersales business. This role involves driving performance improvements and developing parts and pricing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop your team to support the business' parts sales goals.
- Analyse market trends, customer needs, competitor activity, and product lifecycles to inform commercial plans and decisions.
- Monitor parts business performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and proposing actions to achieve goals.
- Leverage data and insights to support accurate forecasting.
- Implement and embed an aftersales pricing strategy that delivers the required revenue and margin.
- Collaborate with finance team colleagues to review Aftersales financial planning and analysis processes.
- Drive innovation in parts planning by embracing new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
- Support the Parts Sales Coordinator in managing dealer parts targets and bonus programmes.
- Provide complex analysis on the effectiveness of commercial activities and make recommendations.
- Manage promotional, tactical, and special parts pricing activities ensuring a suitable margin.
- Review and manage supplier relationships to optimise ROI.
- Ensure collaboration with internal stakeholders to avoid duplication or fragmentation.
- Identify opportunities for new and improved parts and pricing initiatives, including trade parts programmes.
- Plan and manage relevant budgets to ensure ROI is maximised.
Skills and Experience Required:
Essential:
- Knowledge and experience of business planning (preferably parts), commercial management, or business insights within the automotive industry.
- Significant experience in pricing and margin-based activities.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth in a competitive market environment.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Planning and analytical skills, with the ability to turn insights into actions.
- Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to identify anomalies in data.
- A strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
- Flexible approach, with the ability to deal with ambiguity and reprioritise when required.
Desirable:
- Knowledge and understanding of franchised dealer networks.
- People management experience.
