Due to their growing success, we are recruiting a Territory Account Manager for our medical equipment distributor client based in Milton Keynes.

With previous experience of Key Account Management in the Vitro Diagnostics industry, you will represent the business as Territory Account Manager for your designated territory and accounts. Supporting the Regional Commercial Manager in delivering on the overall strategy objectives, taking ownership and delivering assigned targets.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for delivering all pre and post sales activity for all medical equipment (Haematology and Homeostasis) services within your territory.
  • Selling the company Managed Service Contract (MSC) this will include a wider portfolio of products including 3rd party business to support the overall business solution.
  • Working collaboratively with all departments to direct a successful bid whether a simple contract or a complex MSC
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure the delivery of winning business is executed and that the maintenance, management and ongoing reporting to the customer is delivered to a very high standard throughout the term of the contract.
  • Develop and command excellent relationships with your customers, prospects and all areas of the organisation.
  • Drive excellence in service delivery at all levels and aim to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Continually develop your sales, account management and customer service skills to improve your ability to grow and retain business.
  • Once business is secured you will be expected to build on the relationships, grow that business and retain that business in the future.

Key skills and essential requirements:

  • Formal Sales and/or Account Management training
  • Fully understands KPI targets, company objectives and maintains focus to achieve these on time within constraints.
  • Knowledge of NHS networks and approaches to procurement
  • Proficient with complex data analysis
  • Haematology and Homeostasis experience or extensive knowledge
  • Holds a full UK driving licence
  • Previous experience of Key Account Management in the In Vitro Diagnostics industry
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience in a direct sales role involving complex sales/tenders in the diagnostics arena
  • Experience in supporting or delivering manage service contracts within a healthcare sector
  • Knowledge and experience of forecasting sales
  • Life science degree or equivalent
  • Negotiation and influencing skills with key internal and external stakeholders
