We are looking for an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to manage and oversee the electrical aspects of a large-scale commercial project in Milton Keynes. This is a key role for someone who is highly organized, with a proven track record in electrical project management and contract administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of electrical works within budget, on time, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all electrical contracts and subcontractors on commercial projects.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with health and safety regulations, relevant codes, and company standards.
- Develop and manage project plans, including budgets, schedules, and resources, for electrical installations and services.
- Coordinate and liaise with clients, stakeholders, and the project team to ensure smooth execution of the project.
- Monitor and control costs, procurement, and financial aspects of contracts, ensuring profitability.
- Provide leadership and direction to electrical site teams, ensuring all tasks are carried out efficiently and safely.
- Manage subcontracts and suppliers to ensure that materials and labor are delivered on time and within budget.
- Prepare and submit progress reports to senior management and clients.
- Resolve any issues or disputes on-site and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure proper documentation of all contractual agreements, change orders, and variations.
- Maintain effective communication and relationships with clients and other contractors.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Contracts Manager, ideally within the commercial construction sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and commercial electrical installations.
- Experience in managing contracts, budgets, and resources for electrical projects.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with contract negotiation and management.
- Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering, project management, or construction (e.g., HNC, HND, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of current health and safety standards and regulations.
- Strong IT skills (e.g., MS Office, project management software).
