EAC are representing a Market Leading Organisation who are on the lookout for a Field Service Engineer to join the team. Head Office is based in Telford, so you must be a commutable distance from Telford.

My Client are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to deliver repair, maintenance, and technical support for systems both at customer sites and in-house. You will be a key player in ensuring system uptime, delivering service excellence, and contributing to the continuous improvement of customer satisfaction.

Duties for Field Service Engineer:

  • Carry out on-site and in-house diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of equipment
  • Provide support for routine servicing, emergency breakdowns, and programming of systems.
  • Troubleshoot and document system performance and service activity for reporting and future reference.
  • Prepare comprehensive service reports and maintain service records in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with the technical and service teams to coordinate tasks and meet service deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to ensure high levels of service satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory and ensure spare parts are tracked and reported accurately
  • Learn and apply the company’s proprietary programming language for basic programming and support.
  • Take part in the 24/7 service rota, including occasional call-outs outside of standard working hours.

Ideal Field Service Engineer:

  • Must have Electrical & Mechnical Experience
  • Engineering qualification at HNC level or above
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in automation or technical field service
  • Strong background in mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
  • Capable of reading technical drawings and documents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
  • Logical and methodical in your approach to problem-solving
