Finance Analyst | Milton Keynes | £45,000 - £55,000

Opportunity Overview:

A leading organisation is seeking a Part-Qualified / Newly-Qualified Finance Analyst to enhance its financial operations. This crucial role involves providing comprehensive financial support, performing in-depth analysis, and ensuring the integrity of financial records. The successful candidate will work closely with business divisions and accounting teams to uphold global accounting standards and ensure compliance with financial controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for UK operations.
  • Monitor financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
  • Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed and manage financial risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account analyses, and reports.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements for timely and accurate information.
  • Perform and review various monthly processes, analyses, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the UK FP&A team to understand financial performance and variances.
  • Work with other teams to ensure the integrity of accounting controls, processes, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified or recently qualified accountant with UK recognised accounting qualification.
  • Experience in management reporting and month-end close.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite.
  • Reporting experience under both UK and US GAAP.
  • Experience in a regional accounting team within an international/public company.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and independent thinker with process improvement experience.
  • Proficient in PC skills and financial applications (Excel, Word, Hyperion, NetSuite).
  • Ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment and adapt to new situations.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with excellent oral and written communication.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
