Description
Financial Analyst
- Analyze production costs, material usage, labor, and overheads to identify variances and provide actionable insights.
- Conduct monthly cost variance analysis against budget, forecast, and standard costs.
- Partner with operations and supply chain teams to understand manufacturing drivers and variances.
- Support the standard costing process and update costs as required within the ERP system.
- Assist with the preparation of management accounts, monthly commentary, and financial reporting packs.
- Monitor and evaluate inventory valuation, stock provisions, and work-in-progress balances.
- Collaborate on the preparation of budgets and forecasts with detailed cost assumptions and justifications.
- Prepare capex business cases and post-investment appraisals.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost control and process efficiencies.
- Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Profile
A successful 'Accounts Receivable Analyst' should have/be
- Part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is essential.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.
- Proficient with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and business partnering skills
