Senior Finance Analyst

Milton Keynes - hybrid (2 days from home)

£38,000 - £40,000 with excellent benefits, including annual bonus.

We have a great opportunity for a part-qualified Senior Finance Analyst in Milton Keynes! This is a varied role with the opportunity to develop. You will liaise with stakeholders and present to senior management. Ideally you will be at least halfway through your CIMA or ACCA.

You will Lead annual budgeting and financial close processes, present financial insights to executive management, engage in strategic pricing decisions, ensuring rigorous financial management and strategic decision support across the company.

As Senior Finance Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic re-forecasts.
  • Responsibility for the end-to-end monthly financial close process for the division in your remit.
  • Presenting financial variances and insights to executive management.
  • Prepare monthly Accounts Review packs and presenting month end results to the management team.
  • Conduct monthly expense review meetings with budget holders ensuring that expenses are in line with budget/ forecast and challenge expense commitments when required.
  • Participate in the annual external audit process by preparing necessary documentation and data.
  • Support preparation of management papers and conduct review.
  • Prepare costing proposals for quarterly campaigns.
  • Engage in pricing decisions and produce profit analysis.
  • Review effectiveness of systems and processes and make recommendations with regards to any potential future developments.
  • Support Finance Analysts, act as a role model, providing guidance and feedback to aid their professional development.
  • Provide support and cover to the Management Accountants and the wider department as required.

What skills and experience are we looking for?

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge, understanding or exposure to core principles of Accounting
  • Part-Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
  • Management accounting experience is desirable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages, notably Excel
