Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Account Handler with a strong background in logistics and transport. Reporting to the Senior Key Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the supply chain of a temporary driving workforce through a digital platform for a major retailer while supporting the development of a team of three Customer Executives.This role requires on-site presence, split between Milton Keynes and Lutterworth and demands a customer-focused mindset with a proactive, solutions-driven approach.The ideal candidate will have either a Driving Recruitment background or work within a transport and logistics setting.Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Senior Key Account Manager to develop and lead a high-performing, engaged team dedicated to customer success.
  • Manage and support a team of three Customer Executives, overseeing performance management, sickness absence, one-to-one meetings, appraisals and general team development.
  • Act as a primary escalation point for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring swift resolution of issues.
  • Facilitate the onboarding new suppliers, serving as a key contact during project implementations.
  • Ensure all key performance targets are met, identifying and addressing potential challenges in service delivery.
  • Attend weekly and monthly customer meetings
  • Oversee action plans to enhance customer satisfaction, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Perform regular quality checks to maintain service consistency and compliance.
  • Lead the implementation of best practices, improving current working methods and integrating new processes.
  • Regularly visit customer sites to maintain strong relationships and oversee operations.
Essential Skills & Experience:  
  • Experience in team leadership and motivation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of transport legislation and compliance, including driver working hours and tachograph regulations
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety policies within the logistics industry, ensuring compliance with Workplace Transport Safety regulations.
  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities to handle a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Resilient and proactive problem-solver, able to manage challenges with a tenacious and solutions-driven approach.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with the ability to analyse and interpret data effectively.
  • A valid UK driving licence is essential.
  Work Location:
  • Based in Milton Keynes Head office 3 days a week and Lutterworth (Customers premises) 1- 2 days per week.
  • Flexibility to travel between sites as required
