Audit Assistant Manager

Salary: Up to £55,000 dependant on experience
AJ Chambers is representing a top 15 firm in search of an Audit Assistant Manager. This firm builds strong, trusted client relationships and serve a diverse range of businesses, from entrepreneurs to multinational corporations. Your role Responsibilities
- Manage client correspondence, scheduling, and audit planning.
- Supervise and review work of senior and junior staff, ensuring the file is complete and all review points are addressed before it is passed to the partner and manager
- Handle critical audit areas and occasional advisory work
- Monitor budgets, deadlines, and progress on audits
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff
- Assist with business development, tenders, and networking
- Conduct client on-site visits and appraisals
- Involved in tenders and presentations on audits & accounts
- Identify new business opportunities
- Establish local business contacts/networking
- Monitor performance of staff working on jobs, including giving feedback after file review.
- Conduct 6 monthly appraisals for trainees
Your Qualifications/skills needed
- ACCA/ACA qualified with Strong audit experience (planning to completion)
- At least 2 years, post-qualification experience
- Knowledge of accounting standards (SORP, FRS 102)
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Sage, CaseWare, and related software
- Supervisory experience and strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Team building skills
- Organisational skills
