We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Director to oversee all financial activities of the company, ensuring financial health and stability. This senior role involves financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to drive the company’s growth and profitability while leading and developing the finance team.

Purpose: As a Finance Director you will be responsible for the company's long-term financial health and growth. They establish strategies that will earn profits, oversee accounting operations, produce accurate reports on where money is going within the business and improve or change current practices to increase efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all elements of the finance team of five taking full responsibility for staff development, weekly meetings and appraisals.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including foreign exchange, stock control, and cash flow management.
  • Presenting a full analysis of all project's P&L.
  • Ownership of reporting on performance against strategic objectives.
  • Deliver financial performance in alignment with strategic plans.
  • Ownership of budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Partnering key stakeholders, supporting with return on investment and budgeting on CAPEX projects.
  • Ownership of the company’s balance sheet.
  • Providing dashboard and performance reports for senior management on weekly basis.
  • Providing challenge and insight to the organisation’s monthly management accounting and budgeting/forecasting process.
  • Managing the annual audit and being the first point of contact for all information throughout the entire process.
  • Overseeing payroll, bonus calculations, commissions and pension reporting.
  • Preparing corporation tax computations and research and development claims.
  • Preparing statutory accounts in line with International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Constantly seeking opportunities to increase revenue and business growth.
  • Management and overview of company stock lists from a financial perspective.
  • Ensuring full statutory and regulatory compliances.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Environmental and Data Protection policies.
  • Ad Hoc duties when required.

Personal Specification:

  • Fully qualified accountant (UK or equivalent ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Experience of delivering on a financial growth strategy.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge skills.
  • Strong cashflow knowledge skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Challenge business decisions when required.
