We at Major Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Finance Executive to work with one of our clients based in Milton Keynes.

Job role -

  • Supporting Finance Director
  • Supervising Purchase Ledger Clerk & Finance Administrator
  • Credit Control
  • Credit Checking customers
  • Releasing sales orders
  • Monthly preparing and posting of prepayments
  • Monthly UK VAT reconciliation
  • Ireland VAT reconciliation every two months
  • Manual journal entry
  • Calculating monthly service profitability
  • Managing fixed assets/depreciation
  • Posting intercompany stock invoices & agreeing balance at month end
  • Completing monthly management account spreadsheet
  • Customer query resolution
  • Preparing weekly cashflow report
  • Daily bank reconciliation - posting payments and receipts
  • Authorising bank payments
  • Processing payment runs in absence of PL Clerk
  • Resolving customer queries
  • Managing emails and post
  • Ordering stationery
  • Ad hoc duties as required to support the finance team
  • IT literate, must be able to use Excel - V-Lookups & SAP
  • Liaising with auditors and providing info to them
  • Month end debtors and creditors reconciliation

The ideal candidate

  • Must have proven Credit Control/Accounts experience
  • Basic understanding of VAT
  • Double entry book-keeping.
  • Excel, SAP
  • Able to work under pressure when required.
  • Keyboard accuracy,
  • Good communication and organization skills,
  • Be a confident
  • Proactive character.
  • Motivated to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
