Behaviour Mentor - Bletchley - Behaviour Mentor- Bletchley

Are you passionate about supporting young people with challenging behaviours and mental health needs? We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join an alternative provision in Bletchley , working with secondary-aged pupils who require specialist intervention to engage with education.

As a Behaviour Mentor in Bletchley , you will be working closely with students who have experienced barriers to learning, including emotional-based school avoidance (EBSA), anxiety, and behavioural difficulties. The ideal candidate will be resilient, patient, and able to build positive relationships with young people to help them re-engage with education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with challenging behaviours.
  • Implement strategies to improve students' emotional regulation and social skills.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to ensure tailored support.
  • Act as a positive role model, building trust and confidence in students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor, youth worker, teaching assistant, or in a similar role.
  • Experience working with teenagers in schools, youth centres, or personal experience supporting children with challenging behaviours.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate situations effectively.
  • A commitment to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.
