Are you passionate about providing exceptional customer service and making a real difference in patient’s lives? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our client’s Medical Team in Milton Keynes as a Part-Time Care Navigator.

We are looking for individuals who can maintain a calm and composed demeanour and enjoy engaging and assisting people. The flexibility to cover additional hours is essential for this role.

While the specific shifts are yet to be confirmed, it's important to note that the schedule will consist of morning or afternoon shifts for 4 days a week, with the expectation that Saturdays will also be included in the weekly rota within the next few months.

AM Shift:  8:00 am - 1:00 pm

PM Shift: 1:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Temp to Perm - £11.44 per hour

This busy yet rewarding role offers the chance to play a vital part in our client's healthcare team, navigating patients to the right services and providing non-clinical advice. You'll be part of a supportive environment that values your contributions and encourages professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Booking appointments for patients, both face to face and over the phone
  • Using SystmOne (no experience required)
  • Dealing with general enquiries from patients and visitors efficiently and courteously.
  • Greeting patients, doctors, and visitors at Reception in a polite and friendly manner
  • Answering the telephone promptly and effectively
  • Making appointments using the computerised appointment system
  • Assisting with any other administration required
  • Manage repeat prescriptions.
  • Handling patient samples

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role.
  • Have the capability and knowledge to accurately refer the patient to the appropriate service.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong multitasking abilities and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and a flexible approach to work
  • Be able to work to strict deadlines but also have a flexible approach to their work. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
