Yard Operative
Location: Milton Keynes (with occasional travel to Bedford site)Salary: £25,000 per annumHours: 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Yard Operative to join our team in a long-term position. You’ll support the daily operations of the company, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient yard environment. This role involves preparing, maintaining, and loading equipment while adhering to safety and company procedures.
Yard Operative Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe yard, minimizing risks and reporting concerns.
- Prepare, load, and unload equipment safely, ensuring compliance with VOSA requirements.
- Carry out equipment inspections, servicing, and stock management.
- Complete administrative tasks, including reporting near-misses, damages, and stock shortages.
- Promote and enforce Health & Safety standards in the workplace.
About You
- Reliable, hardworking, and looking for a long-term position.
- Willing to travel between Milton Keynes and Bedford as needed.
- Proactive and safety-conscious, with good attention to detail.
- A team player who can also work independently.
