Yard Operative

Location: Milton Keynes (with occasional travel to Bedford site)
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Yard Operative to join our team in a long-term position. You’ll support the daily operations of the company, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient yard environment. This role involves preparing, maintaining, and loading equipment while adhering to safety and company procedures.

Yard Operative Key Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and safe yard, minimizing risks and reporting concerns.
Prepare, load, and unload equipment safely, ensuring compliance with VOSA requirements.
Carry out equipment inspections, servicing, and stock management.
Complete administrative tasks, including reporting near-misses, damages, and stock shortages.
Promote and enforce Health & Safety standards in the workplace.

About You

Reliable, hardworking, and looking for a long-term position.
Willing to travel between Milton Keynes and Bedford as needed.
Proactive and safety-conscious, with good attention to detail.
A team player who can also work independently.
