HSE Support Manager - Gas storage & distribtuion - Multi-site role (all based in the South of England/Wales) - 37-44k + car allowance, bonus

Our client is one of the largest Liquified Petroleum Gas suppliers in the UK, with sites throughout the country. They're looking for a HSE Support Managerto improve HSE proceduresacross their sites based in the South of England/Wales. You will work under the National HSSE Manager to promote a positive safety culture and build on their current HSE practices.

This is a hands on role that looks after HSE across 22 sites based in the South of England/Wales and will work with the Site Managers to ensure each site is meeting its' regulatory requirements whilst looking at ways to instill HSE best practices. Some specific responsibilities are below.

  • Providing health, safety, security and environmental guidance and support to senior management and colleagues at all levels covering a range of operations from Distribution to Production & Manufacturing.
  • Act as a point of contact for HSE matters, collaborating closely with local teams to foster a collaborative approach to safety and sustainability.
  • Provide leadership with insights and recommendations on HSE performance, leveraging subject matter expertise across the business to drive continuous improvement and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Ensure a safe and environmentally responsible workplace by supporting business functions on health, safety, and environmental (HSE) initiatives.
  • Take leadership in facilitating and conducting occupational health and safety risk assessments, offering operational guidance to line managers on risk reduction and the implementation of effective control measures.

This is a hybrid role, working from home on Moinday and Friday with site travel required on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. This is an excellent opportunity for a HSE Advisor or Manager, who wants to play a key role in improving HSE at site level across numerous sites. You will have good autonomy and a variety of projects to work on.

You will require multi-site experience in either a heavy manufacturing, construction, or consultancy environment, NEBOSH Certtificate or higher, along with a full-UK drivers license and the desire to work with peolpe to make HSE improvements.
