Our client is looking to recruit a Medical Administrator for their busy surgery

Must have

  • General IT skills (Word/excel/email)
  • Be willing to learn our specific computer software
  • Be happy to work alone but also part of a Team
  • Be confident and accurate
  • Have some flexibility to cover other roles within the Practice (with appropriate training)

INITIAL JOB SPECIFICATION:

  • Open physical mail arriving by Royal Mail and internal courier, sort and scan
  • Download other mail sent via electronic sources
  • Workflow all mail
  • Managing reports for patient’s medical records
  • Accept requests for private services
  • Keep an accurate spreadsheet of those requests
  • Ensure requests fulfil the necessary criteria (i.e. payments/consent) then pass to appropriate person to be completed
  • On completion, check for accuracy (all sections completed & signed/Practice stamp etc)
  • Return to requester
  • Scan paper records required for requests for copies
  • Frank outgoing mail & take turns with secretaries in taking to mailbox
  • Liaise with GPs and members of staff as appropriate
  • Answer queries from patients & outside companies regarding above
  • Be prepared to undertake other related tasks, if appropriate, as the job progresses
  • Any other reasonable job within the Practice as requested
  • Send out DNA letter to patients who fail to attend their appointments

You will be required to work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8.30 - 2.30
