Role: Cleaning Supervisor

Location: Milton Keynes, MK9

Hours: 32 hours per week

Salary: £23,296 per annum

We are seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to join our Environmental Services department, replacing a colleague who is relocating. In this role, you will oversee a stable team of 13 cleaners, ensuring outstanding standards in cleaning, waste management, and customer service.

Duties of a Cleaning Supervisor:

  • Assist in the operational delivery of cleaning and waste services within the shopping center.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulations.
  • Manage staff schedules to maintain optimal manning levels at all times.
  • Motivate and monitor the cleaning team to achieve high service standards
  • Uphold performance, discipline, and welfare standards in accordance with company policies
  • Support staff training and development initiatives.
  • Oversee the management of cleaning equipment and stock control.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is well-maintained and report any issues promptly
  • Conduct daily inspections of cleaning standards and ensure proactive task response.
  • Promote a safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Document and maintain accurate records as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in cleaning practices.
  • Facilitate the induction and training of new team members.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Proven experience in cleaning and waste management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage challenging situations.

Desirable:

  • Basic knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  • Certifications in IOSH, First Aid, and body fluids training.
