School HR Manager required for a school in Milton Keynes

Timeplan Education Group are pleased to be supporting one of our fantastic schools in their current search for a School HR Manager, based in Milton Keynes.

This role is 30 hours per week

This is a fixed term contract until July 2025

FTE Salary - £32,654 - £36,124

Our Timeplan Services Division specialises in the placement of non-classroom-based staff including Administrators, HR, Finance and Facilities. With years experience within the team, we are the best placed recruiter to support you with your needs both inside and outside of the classroom.

The successful candidate will be friendly, approachable and able to form excellent working relationships with staff. You will be highly professional, dedicated and well organised. You will be able to balance your workload and that of your team to provide effective and efficient outcomes to meet deadlines. You will have good organisational, ICT and administrative skills.

The successful candidate will provide professional advice and administrative services in relation to all aspects of Human Resource management and procedures, with respect to whole school staffing. To support line managers to ensure consistent application of the TLT policies and people management practices. To assist, as required, with Strategic Project Work as designated by the School Business Manager and Principal. To be aware of relevant regulations, Education Acts and statutory instruments as they affect Human Resources in school

About the role

  • Oversee the recruitment process.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company objectives.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends in employee performance and engagement.
  • Manage employee relations, addressing concerns and fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Present HR metrics and reports to senior management, offering insights for decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations while maintaining best practices in HR management.
  • Facilitate training and development programmes to enhance employee skills and career growth.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role within a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
  • Experience in managing diverse personnel issues.
  • Proficient in data analysis skills to interpret HR metrics and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with current employment legislation and best practices in human resources management.
  • Qualifications in Human Resources or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience working within the transport, logistics, warehousing sector.
