The Open University is seeking a dynamic and experienced recruiter to join our dedicated team of professionals. As a recruiter, you will play a vital role in delivering a proactive, innovative, and high-touch recruitment service. You will support key recruitment initiatives and provide expert guidance to hiring managers to attract, assess, and hire top talent across a diverse range of roles.Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert advice and support on a wide range of recruitment activities, including candidate attraction, pre-screening, engagement, and direct sourcing.
Manage multiple recruitment campaigns and projects to support the organisation's strategic objectives.
Act as a brand ambassador to promote The Open University’s employee value proposition through various channels, including social media, job fairs, and networking events.
Collaborate with outsourced suppliers and partners to ensure effective delivery of contracted services.
Deliver a high-touch recruitment service focused on continuous improvement.

Skills and Experience:

Extensive experience in a senior in-house recruitment role within a complex organisation, acting as a subject matter expert.
In-depth knowledge of employment law related to recruitment and pre-employment vetting, specific to the UK.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and create high-quality written content.
Strong ability to manage changing workloads, multiple tasks, and competing priorities with minimal supervision.
Resilient and tenacious, with the capacity to manage emotions effectively under pressure.
Competence in data analysis to inform recruitment strategy and monitor performance.
Proficient in using applicant tracking systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors Recruitment) and Microsoft Office/Office 365 applications (PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams).
