The role of an Account Manager:
As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in supporting SMEs by providing access to bespoke finance packages ranging from £10,000 to £10,000,000. You will generate leads, build relationships, and manage the funding process from initial enquiry to completion.
Responsibilities of the Account Manager position:
- Develop expertise in Asset Finance, Business Loans, and Bridging Finance to engage potential customers.
- Generate leads through data lists, email marketing, LinkedIn, and other channels.
- Build relationships with suppliers and introducers to increase referrals.
- Manage inbound leads from key introducer accounts, qualifying and progressing applications.
- Assess customers' financial needs, conducting pre-qualification checks.
- Present finance solutions professionally and persuasively to secure deals.
- Work closely with the Director to understand lender criteria and funding placement strategies.
- Meet clients face-to-face when required to finalise agreements.
- Use internal systems (WebFastTrack, Zoho CRM) to manage proposals and customer data
- Ensure all activities comply with FCA regulations, AML policies, and best practices.
What are we looking for in the next Account Manager?
- Strong sales or account management background (experience in insurance, commercial finance, automotive, recruitment, or estate agency is a plus).
- Strong communication skills and a confident telephone manner.
- Ability to challenge and negotiate with external stakeholders.
- Organised and proactive, capable of handling multiple tasks.
- Financially motivated with a drive to succeed.
- Keen attention to detail.
