Proximity Recruitment is seeking a talented Data Scientist (Salary £40,000 - £80,000 + Bonus + Benefits) to join an innovative, award-winning team in Manchester or London. In this role, you’ll work on diverse and challenging data science projects, applying advanced techniques and algorithms to unlock valuable insights. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop models that influence business strategies and improve decision-making. A strong foundation in Python and PySpark will be essential as you tackle complex data problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data models using Python and PySpark to solve business problems.

  • Analyse large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.

  • Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.

  • Build and optimise machine learning models to support decision-making processes.

  • Create and maintain data pipelines to ensure the efficient processing and analysis of large data sets.

  • Collaborate with teams across the business to communicate data findings clearly and effectively.

  • Stay current with developments in the field of data science, incorporating the latest techniques and best practices into projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python and PySpark, a solid understanding of machine learning, and the ability to work with complex datasets. You’ll need excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for turning data into actionable insights.
