Do you have experience managing a legal team? Do you have strong experience in commercial contract law? If so then we may have the role for you. We are excited to invite applications for the role of Legal Manager, Contracts at the ICAEW. In this key position, you will report directly to the Head of Central Operations and take charge of overseeing our commercial contracts legal team.

Role Profile

The Legal Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the commercial contracts legal team. This role will ensure that all contracts and agreements are reviewed, drafted, and executed efficiently and accurately. Additionally, the Legal Contracts Manager will manage the contract review process, ensuring high service levels, and work closely with contract owners and other stakeholders across the business to meet both legal and operational objectives.

Responsibilities include:* Oversee a small team of contracts lawyers, providing guidance and support in their daily work.* Review, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts and agreements, including NDAs, supply agreements, service agreements, partnership agreements, and SAAS contracts.* Ensure contracts are legally sound, mitigate risk, and align with the company's strategic and operational goals.* Advise on contract-related legal issues and interpret terms for internal teams.

Candidate Profile

Requirements include:* LLB or equivalent law degree. Legal qualification (Solicitor, CiLEX, or equivalent) preferred.* Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial contract law.* Deep understanding of contract law, commercial law, and legal drafting principles.* Experience managing a legal team or working in a supervisory legal role.* Proven track record of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts including more complex SAAS and IT contracts.* Excellent communication skills* Proficient in using Microsoft 365
