Join this fantastic team and help us attract the next generation of ICAEW Chartered Accountants. Raise awareness of ICAEW and routes into the profession through attending varied events and reach through innovative multi-channel advertising and marketing campaigns.

Overall purpose of the role of marketing executive.

Promote and raise awareness of ICAEW qualifications to potential students through the development of school and/or university relationships and associated gatekeepers.

This will be achieved through the development of activity for audiences, primarily focussed within schools and universities, using a combination of marketing activity, including, but not limited to events, email, social media, web, webinars.

To act as brand champion to help embed the ICAEW values, ensuring brand consistency, promoting best practice and sharing ideas across the team and ICAEW.

Marketing Executive Responsibilities include:

  • To work in conjunction with the Senior Marketing Manager, Student Attraction and the Early Careers team to identify target schools, colleges, universities and third parties to work with and reach audiences effectively and efficiently.
  • Organise, promote and deliver tailored ICAEW events to meet audience needs at target schools, colleges and universities in an engaging and convincing style. This includes presentations, skills sessions and careers fairs.
  • To be responsible for identifying how to reach identified audiences on a national scale, using the resources available, or with ideas for new resources about how to achieve this. Collaboration with the Senior Marketing Manager, Student Attraction will provide the support and guidance required.
  • Represent ICAEW at external events, meetings and conferences, including those being delivered by ICAEW authorised training employers and relevant third parties.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues internally within E&T, in the regions and local networks to maximise and leverage their impact within the school, college and university environment.
  • Actively seek out information and marketing knowledge regarding the Early Careers market to ensure understanding of the market is always up to date.
  • Develop marketing materials to support the development and nurture of relationships that will ultimately create more awareness of ICAEW and our qualifications.
  • In conjunction with the Senior Marketing Manager, National Marketing, identify key metrics, set appropriate KPI's, monitor reporting on a monthly basis, to ultimately feed into the planning cycle.
  • Input into wider team planning to ensure all plans slot together seamlessly, taking on board learnings across the team and actively participate in recommendations for what to start, stop as part of the overall planning process.

Marketing Executive Candidate Profile

Marketing Executive Requirements include:

  • Designing, organising, promoting, delivering and evaluating events.
  • Proficient digital marketing skills, working on a variety of platforms.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to present to large and diverse groups of people, clearly, enthusiastically, concisely.
  • Experience in developing marketing materials.
  • Preparing, executing, and measuring effectiveness of project plans.
  • Experience in the student recruitment or education sector desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of professional services / membership organisations desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task.
  • Self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel within the UK (with overnight stays away).
  • Full clean UK driving license is essential.
