Key Responsibilities:-
Deliver engaging and dynamic Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, in line with the national curriculum.

Contribute to the development of a broad and ambitious Music curriculum that nurtures students’ passion for the subject.

Support and collaborate with colleagues in the Music department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

Organize and participate in extracurricular music activities, including school concerts, orchestras, choirs, and productions.

Encourage student participation in performance opportunities, competitions, and music qualifications such as GCSEs.

Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and external musical organizations.

Assist in the management of department resources and contribute to the school’s wider cultural and artistic initiatives.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Music or a related field.

Experience teaching Music at Key Stages 3 and 4, with a passion for inspiring young musicians.

Comprehensive knowledge of music education, including performance, composition, and music theory.

Strong classroom management and communication skills to engage students of all abilities.

Enthusiasm for extracurricular music programs and a commitment to developing the school’s musical profile.

A valid Enhanced DBS check and professional references.
