• Deliver engaging and dynamic Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, in line with the national curriculum.

• Contribute to the development of a broad and ambitious Music curriculum that nurtures students’ passion for the subject.

• Support and collaborate with colleagues in the Music department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

• Organize and participate in extracurricular music activities, including school concerts, orchestras, choirs, and productions.

• Encourage student participation in performance opportunities, competitions, and music qualifications such as GCSEs.

• Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and external musical organizations.

• Assist in the management of department resources and contribute to the school’s wider cultural and artistic initiatives.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Music or a related field.

• Experience teaching Music at Key Stages 3 and 4, with a passion for inspiring young musicians.

• Comprehensive knowledge of music education, including performance, composition, and music theory.

• Strong classroom management and communication skills to engage students of all abilities.

• Enthusiasm for extracurricular music programs and a commitment to developing the school’s musical profile.

• A valid Enhanced DBS check and professional references.
