We have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join a fast-growing general construction company who undertake a range of education and industrial/ commercial new build and refurbishment schemes.

You will be working alongside their current Contracts Manager, and will have the full support of their Construction Director.

The Role Project Manager

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects ranging in value from £10,000 to over £1.5 million.

Working within a team, you will plan, manage, and deliver various construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

As a Project Manager you will be office based with site visits, looking after 2 sites of varying values,

Current schemes include a £1m classroom refurbishment and extension, and a £500k sports hall refurbishment

You will be office based in Milton Keynes, visiting site once or twice a week, (you will have a Site Manager based on site looking after your schemes.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review job specifications and pricing documents.
  • Coordinate with design consultants to achieve cost-effective designs.
  • Procure materials and equipment competitively throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Source, manage, and oversee subcontractors.
  • Monitor and update project schedules.
  • Liaise with clients regularly, providing fortnightly progress reports.
  • Conduct monthly project valuations and invoicing.
  • Manage pricing for any contract variations or additional works.
  • Review project budgets with a focus on maximising profitability.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained on all sites.

The right person: Project Manager

You will be an experienced Project Manager with commercial refurbishment experience

You will be capable of coming in and running 2 schemes.

You will have strong IT skills
