A small friendly business in Milton Keynes is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator to join their team. The ideal candidate will liaise with their customers to fully understand their requirements, ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services to support both our operations and our customers. 

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Respond to customer requests for goods/services in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Liaise with suppliers to source equipment/licenses and services as required for our customers.
  • Raise quotations for customer approval using the Xero Accounting system.
  • Process purchase orders using the Xero Accounting system and place orders as needed.
  • Coordinate with our Technicians and Customers to ensure timely delivery of goods/services.
  • Support the sales team by providing necessary product information if required.
  • Process supplier invoices on the Xero Accounting system ready for payment by Accounts.
  • Process and issue customer invoices for goods purchased.
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers, customers, and colleagues to resolve any queries.
  • Manage office phone and email enquiries efficiently.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in purchasing processes.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software for purchasing processes, preferably Xero (training can be provided).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Tools.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team environment.
