Assistant Quantity Surveyor required on a permanent or contract basis to work on a variety of rail projects in the Milton Keynes area.

You will provide essential support in delivering commercial activities within the delivery teams, working closely with the supply chain and contractors to ensure alignment with project objectives and value for money.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide commercial support and decision-making across all contracts, ensuring alignment with strategic project objectives and value for money.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements with third parties, coordinating interfaces and integrating across contracts and suppliers.
  • Support contract management to maintain effective commercial control.
  • Assist in the administration of Project Manager obligations under NEC3 Contracts.
  • Support the valuation of variations and compensation events.
  • Assist in contract payments assessment.
  • Review and analyse supply chain monthly reports.


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in administering contracts for infrastructure or similar capital projects and programmes.
  • Understanding of dispute resolution processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with common commercial policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of contract, commercial, and risk management methods, particularly experience with NEC Contracts.
