Position: Sales Engineer

Location: Milton Keynes

Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Engineer to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business with sites in Milton Keynes.

Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Sales Engineer to help with al aspects of sales and lead generation, to find opportunities for growth within targeted sectors and maintain relationships with key accounts.

Due to the nature of the work candidates must be able to pass DBS and BPSS checks.

You will be responsible for:

  • To produce commercial and technical proposals in response to customer enquiries.
  • To discover new opportunities and contacts in targeted market sectors - There will be a bias

to building contacts and projects within the Marine industry.

  • Follow up quotations and close business on behalf of AMP Power Protection.
  • Establishing productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned

customer accounts

  • Involvement in research and development and marketing
  • Monitor and interact with tendering portals and report on opportunities that are of interest to

AMP.

  • Attend meetings with the customer at their site or offices across the UK.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Excellent communicator at all levels to negotiate best outcomes for the company
  • Must be able to work individually whilst being a member of a small team.
  • Tasks and priorities are allocated by the Sales Manager
  • Weekly liaison occurs with other members of the Company
  • Experience is a previous sales position is preferable
  • Knowledge and understanding of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) would be beneficial.
  • Hold full UK Driver's License.
