We are seeking a dedicated individual who is immediately available to support the accounts department and be an integral member of a small team. The successful candidate will maintain up-to-date purchase and sales ledgers, reconcile client accounts, assist in period-end reporting, and handle ad-hoc tasks. Attention to detail, numeracy, proactivity, trustworthiness, and honesty are essential qualities for this role. The ideal candidate would be a team player committed to enhancing our reputation for delivering a professional and high-end customer experience.Key Responsibilities:- Maintain the purchase ledger by accurately logging all supplier invoices in a timely manner.- Maintain the sales ledger, raise sales invoices, and upload them onto the accounts' system, collaborating with sales, operations, and service departments.- Manage credit control, post cash receipts, actively chase customers for overdue balances, produce weekly aged-debt reports, and escalate potential bad debt cases.- Issue customer statements as per schedule.- Actively chase customers for overdue balances, ensuring escalation to management when necessary.- Reconcile accounts, including debtors and creditors in multiple currencies.- Collaborate weekly with external invoice finance providers and reconcile with their shadow ledger.- Support the Finance Manager with month-end and year-end financial reports.- Communicate with AIS regarding payment schedules and potential issues.- Work with team members to manage, monitor, and improve client relationships.- Perform other related duties as required.Essential:- Minimum of 3 years' bookkeeping experience in an accounts' environment.- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.- Experience in credit control and/or debt collection.- Experience working with multiple currencies and exchange rates.-Part-qualified to AAT or ACCA and/or a recent graduate in a finance-related degree.Interested?
