About the Role: Are you a strong, confident individual with a passion for supporting young people? We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our team at a SEN school in Milton Keynes. This rewarding role involves working with students aged 11-19 who have SEMH (Social Emotional and Mental Health) needs, including those with extremely challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide essential support to students with SEN
  • Provide general and 1 to 1 support
  • Manage and support challenging behaviours with confidence and professionalism
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive learning environment
  • Assist with personal care as needed

Preferred Candidates Will Have:

  • Experience in a related field (e.g., SEN schools, support work, prisons, youth offenders)
  • Experience with severely challenging behaviour and SEN including SEMH
  • The ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
  • A strong, confident presence
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

Requirements:

  • A male would be preferred due to the possibility of personal care responsibilities of students, however, this is not essential.
  • Full right to work in the UK.
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English.
