Learning Support Assistant for Primary School in Milton Keynes

About the Role

As an LSA for this role, you will:

  • Provide tailored support to students with a variety of needs, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and motivated to achieve.
  • Work closely with teachers and other school staff to develop and implement individual learning plans.
  • Foster an inclusive, positive learning environment where all children are encouraged to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting SEN learners in the classroom and during school activities.
  • Building trusting relationships with students to support their emotional and social well-being.
  • Collaborating with the SEN team and teachers to adapt learning materials and activities.
  • Monitoring and reporting on student progress.
What We're Looking For:
  • Previous experience working with SEN children is desirable but not essential; a caring nature and a passion for working with children are key.
  • At least 6 months of working in a similar or health care role.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage children and provide a positive influence.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to meeting the needs of each individual child.
