SEN Learning Support Assistant

Location: Winslow, MK18
Position Type: Full-Time Term time only
Salary: 85-100 per day


We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant. This is a full-time position requiring a hands-on approach to supporting students with varying special needs, including autism, ADHD, and sensory impairments, challening behaviour, Physical needs. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive learning experience and promoting student independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored one-to-one or group support for students with SEN.
  • Implement and adapt individualised learning plans (ILPs) in collaboration with teaching staff and specialists.
  • Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support students in developing social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
  • Liaise with parents, caregivers, and external professionals to ensure holistic support for students.
  • Participate in school activities, training, and team meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs.
  • A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A valid driver's license and access to reliable transport (essential due to the school's location).
