SEN Learning Support Assistant
Location: Winslow, MK18
Position Type: Full-Time Term time only
Salary: 85-100 per day
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant. This is a full-time position requiring a hands-on approach to supporting students with varying special needs, including autism, ADHD, and sensory impairments, challening behaviour, Physical needs. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive learning experience and promoting student independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored one-to-one or group support for students with SEN.
- Implement and adapt individualised learning plans (ILPs) in collaboration with teaching staff and specialists.
- Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support students in developing social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
- Liaise with parents, caregivers, and external professionals to ensure holistic support for students.
- Participate in school activities, training, and team meetings as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs.
- A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A valid driver's license and access to reliable transport (essential due to the school's location).
- Relevant qualifications in SEN support or childcare (desirable but not essential).
