As a Procurement Manager, You will lead on sourcing of high value corporate public sector procurement. You will be strategic and deal with high value spend. The role requires a strategic thinker capable of fostering robust supplier relationships and delivering efficient, cost-effective solutions.

Description

As a Procurement Sourcing Specialist;

  • Managing several sourcing activities at any one time, ranging in value, within the professional services category, to include idea generation and innovation across complex spend categories and collaborate with relevant customers and stakeholders to create and deliver significant commercial and contractual value.
  • You will collaborate closely with your customers and our business experts to undertake pre-market engagement with the supply chain, draft sourcing strategies and tender documentation.
  • You will be the expert leading the sourcing project, undertake complex commercial evaluations, including using your professional knowledge to lead negotiations with suppliers.
  • You will have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, be proactive, have in depth experience of the end-to-end procurement process, be happy to challenge and be challenged and be prepared to go above and beyond to support our customers
  • Oversee procurement and supply chain operations within the organisation.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Implement strategic sourcing methodologies to achieve cost savings.
  • Lead contract negotiations to ensure favourable terms.
  • Ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations.
  • Develop and manage a high-performing procurement team.
  • Report on procurement performance and provide insights for improvements.
  • Promote sustainability within procurement and supply chain practices.

Profile

A successful Procurement Sourcing Manager should have:

  • Worked within Public Sector Corporate Procurement with a deep level of understanding of Sourcing experience, with a demonstrable track record of savings delivery
  • PCR2015 & Procurement Act 2023 Practitioner (modules and test)
  • Demonstrable experience of contract law and financial management
  • Dealt with High value spend, politically savvy, with the proven ability to use direct and indirect influencing strategies at an executive level
  • Line management of a small team
  • Proven experience in procurement and supply chain within the public sector.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities and team management skills.
