As part of our commitment to maintaining our portfolio, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Repairs Surveyor to join our dynamic team.

Description

  • Undertake detailed property inspections to assess repair and maintenance needs, including planned and responsive repairs.
  • Develop, plan, and manage repair schedules to ensure that works are carried out within agreed timeframes.
  • Provide technical advice and support to both tenants and the repairs team.
  • Ensure that all works meet legal, health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Review and approve contractor quotes for repairs and maintenance work.
  • Oversee the management of contractors and ensure all works are completed to a high standard and within budget.
  • Ensure effective communication with tenants regarding the progress of repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, works completed, and any issues arising.
  • Collaborate with the asset management team to plan and implement long-term maintenance strategies.

Profile

  • A strong background in repairs and maintenance surveying, ideally within the housing or property sector.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., HND, degree, or equivalent) in Building Surveying or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of building regulations, health & safety, and housing maintenance procedures.
  • Experience in managing contractors and delivering repairs within agreed timescales and budgets.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with tenants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • A high level of attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly.
  • A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (if required for travel).
