Role Description Female Support Worker

Gray Healthcare are recruiting for mental health support workers within the Mold area to support a female in their 50's who has a diagnosis of Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder, ABI, Bilateral Osteoarthritis and Functional Seizure Disorder.

They live independently in their own home receiving 1:1 support 24 hours a day and with Waking Nights. The female we will be supporting has a good sense of humour and bubbly, they like to be supported going out in her car and spending time doing Puzzles, listening to music.

They will be supported by a female only team on both days and nights. We are recruitingdrivers onlyfor this role as the individual we support will have a mobility vehicle to access the community.

Mental Health Support Worker Required Skills and Experience

  • Social care experience, ideally within Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder and Acquired brain Injuries.
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Experience providing encouragement to a person with complex health needs and observing their mobility.
  • Experience supporting individuals with behaviours which may be considered challenging.
  • Experience implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.
  • You must have current Right to Work in the UK and have been employed in the UK for at least 6 months.We no longer have any certificates of sponsorship available and are unable to consider sponsorship.
  • This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references

Hours

24-hour contracts on days, two x12 hour shift per week.

Induction and Training

We provide an initial week of training which is a combination of online training. (Company induction, systems, and Medication.) Followed by in-person training on PROACT-SCIPr-UK which is a PBS approach to least restrictive practice, this is a therapeutic and proven alternative to restraint dominate approaches. You will then complete the person-centred training, specific to the person that you are supporting. Training continues throughout your time with Gray Healthcare, and we encourage you to develop and grow your career with us.
